Implement an integrated ERP system, take over a failed project, and wrap up within four months
The company had been trying for approximately 18 months to replace its existing ERP system because its old system would have crashed on 1/1/2000 due to a Y2K error. Lack of management accord led to repeated delays. The assignment consisted mainly of getting the management team and workers’ representatives to line up behind the changeover since the project had come to an impasse bordering on hostility. Once that was done, the launch in the form of a Big Bang was completed within three months.
